My favorite thing about coloring books? It’s like a story shared between you and I: I have drawn them, and I’m asking you to finish the story with your coloring."

Though not born in Montana, from the age of eight I have lived almost exclusively in Montana, and feel like a duck out of water everywhere else. I hope a love for the wide-open spaces is observed in my work.

My dear wife and I have together raised six kids in Montana with a strong respect for the Bible and all of God’s creation. In my art I try to portray good things of His creation, and maybe a touch of an even better world that is coming.

eltonMy work has a strong impressionistic tendency probably because as

Beth Regele is a local mixed-media artist with a love for contrast and heavy texture in art. She will be showing pieces from her "Centered" series. The series shows her exploration of our place in the galaxy, with dreamy, ethereal spheres and mandalas floating in space. The combination of light, airy colors and dark, moody metal reflects the ups and downs of life here on Earth. She will also be offering wearable art, tiny paintings framed in a bezel, hung on a necklace chain. This is her first show with pieces from her new studio space, Confetti Art Studio.

Jessie Simondi is a self taught artist with many years of practice and studies.  She has painted from murals to small agates. Most of Jessie's art is based on fantasy, but some are landscapes and realistic with a large variety of art, from oils, to acrylic, to pencil sketches.

Jessie, along with her sister grew up in the beautiful country side of Montana where their imaginations could run wild, and still are today. Most of the rock paintings are done on healing stones like agates and quartz.  With every picture she paints it grasps at the soul and touches the heart.  There is always a

Mary is a mom whose vision for art is to remind the weary, the broken and the discouraged about the goodness of Jesus and the life He brings. After a long and painful life difficulty,  Harcus is living proof that the bright colors in art can bring comfort.

When asked what she uses for materials in her art, Mary replied "We use all recycled materials because we never had the money to buy art supplies. Not only has recycling always been a way of life for us, it now has a deep symbolic meaning. The Lord is redeeming us out of a dark and hopeless

Angie studied art at MSU-Billings, MT. Art has always been her passion from early childhood days of drawings fed on imagination and Montana country air.  Currently her main medium is acrylic, which she utilizes for painting on locally found feathers, to canvas. She also does pencil drawings, mixed media, and murals.

Most of her commissioned pieces are realistic portraits and animals.  Her "own" works tend to be more surrealistic.  In all her work, she tries to capture a moment, a glimmer, a glance, an expression that strikes a corner of the heart, a recognition inside the viewer's being.  With each piece, she will "tickle your

I’ve had a lifetime interest in art. When I was a child I was fascinated by the box of family photos, I didn’t always know whom it was or where the image was from but they all told a story.

And that began my long history of art making. I’ve explored many mediums. I’ve quilted, beaded, painted, photographed, and sculpted. Several years ago while taking a 3D class at Northwest College I discovered an artist, Louise Nevelson, who inspired me to start creating “boxes”.

I love using wood and old rusty objects to create my series of “Personified Boxes”. I’m currently taking another 3D class at

Justin is one of our notorious volunteers  with talents we are just beginning to learn about. Justin started volunteering after he heard about us in the Outpost. He has used his talents in so many ways from the very beginning. We would not be where we are without his efforts, all we have to do is give him a thought and he produces. Our entry way is just one example of a vision and his reality.

He had talked about his wood turning and pottery making but I had no idea of what he could do until the Holiday Art Walk and he just brought
